Toronto Travel, Vacation, & Accommodation Info

Canada's largest city, Toronto, is a big fat metropolis of both business and ethnic culture co-existing in basic harmony on the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario. These elements form the core of the city's identity, an identity which is ever-changing and developing as it tries to fill the shoes of what Montreal had been for Canada until the the mid 1960s.

Since then an influx of European, Caribbean, and Asian immigrants has brought both vibrancy and character, and, most importantly, INCREDIBLE food to the city that was once called 'Toronto the Good' for its stiff, conservative, Anglo-Saxon mentality.

Although Toronto is the city that many Canadians love to hate, it remains the economic and cultural engine of the country, as well as the Province of Ontario, of which it is the capital city.
